Wednesday Wisdom: How do I choose an Agile framework?

22/03/2023

Today's Wednesday Wisdom is brought to you by Elvin Assiam, certified trainer and coach for Agility for All. Do you have a question? Post it in the comments.

Today's question is "how do you choose an Agile framework for your team or organization?" Choosing an Agile framework for your team or organization can be a daunting task. With so many different frameworks available, it can be difficult to know which one is right for you. Fortunately there are a few key factors to consider when selecting an Agile framework that can help you make the best decision for your team organization, which I'm gonna share.

So I'll share three of these. The first one is consider the size and complexity of your project. Different agile frameworks are better suited for different types of projects.

Second, consider the skills and experience of your team. Different frameworks will require different levels of expertise. If your team is new to Agile, then a simpler framework such as Scrum may be a better choice. On the other hand, if your team is experienced with Agile, then a more complex framework such as Kanban may be a better fit.

Third consider the goals of your projects. Different agile frameworks, have different goals and objectives. So if you consider the goals of your projects that can help you determine which framework to use. For example, scrum is focused on delivering working software quickly. While Kanban is focused on continuous improvement.

And then finally, consider the culture of your team or organization. Different agile frameworks have different approaches to collaboration and communication. So if your team organization is more traditional, then a framework such as scrum may be a benefit. On the other hand, if your team organization is more open to experimentation and change, then a framework such as Kanban may be a better choice.

When we consider these factors, you can actually make an informed decision that will help you ensure the success of your project and using the right framework for your project. Thank you.

And that is today's Wednesday Wisdom. Don't forget, if you have a question, post it below in the comments. Tune in next week for our next segment.
